2/8/2010 - Men's Basketball
Endicott College freshman Lance Greene (Dorchester, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference’s Co-Rookie of the Week this week as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. Greene helped lead the Gulls to a pair of important conference victories last week and improve to 10-10 overall and 5-4 in league play.

Endicott’s Graham Whitelaw (Kennebunk, Maine) went off for a season-high 27 points as the Gulls downed Regis College, 98-85, in The Commonwealth Coast Conference men’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon in Weston, Mass. The win evens Endicott’s record to .500 at 10-10 overall and 5-4 in the TCCC while Regis slips to 8-13 and 4-5 in league play.

The Endicott College women’s basketball team made it seven wins in-a-row as the Gulls defeated Regis College, 82-70, on Saturday afternoon in The Commonwealth Coast Conference basketball action in Weston, Mass. Ashley Vitale (Wilmington, Mass.) scored a game-high 25 points in helping Endicott improve to 15-5 overall and 8-1 in the TCCC.

The Endicott College men’s volleyball team suffered a pair of tough setbacks on Saturday afternoon, falling to the Stevens Institute of Technology, 3-1, and then dropping three-straight games to #10 Vassar College in a loss to the Brewers. Endicott falls to 6-4 overall this season with the pair of non-league losses.

Endicott College had five players score in double-digits, including 22 points from senior Graham Whitelaw (Kennebunk, Maine), as the Gulls topped visiting Colby-Sawyer College, 83-74, in a crucial The Commonwealth Coast Conference game on Wednesday evening in Beverly, Mass. The Blue and Green improve to 9-10 on the season and 4-4 in TCCC play, while the Chargers fall to 11-9 and 4-4 in conference games.

The Endicott College men’s volleyball team cruised to an easy 3-0 victory over visiting Regis College on Tuesday night in North East Collegiate Volleyball Association New England Division action in Beverly, Mass. The Gulls downed the Pride in straight sets with scores of 30-13, 30-9 and 30-12 to improve to 6-2 overall and 3-0 in the NECVA New England Division. Regis falls to 0-8 and 0-3 in league games while the first year program continues to search for its first win.

Ashley Wright (Merrimack, N.H.) scored 18 points and added a game-high six steals as Endicott College cruised past Gordon College, 80-53, in The Commonwealth Coast Conference women’s basketball action on Saturday afternoon in Beverly, Mass. The Gulls improve to 13-5 overall and 6-1 in the TCCC while the Fighting Scots dip below .500 at 9-10 overall and 2-5 in conference games.

Endicott senior and reigning NECVA New England Player of the Week A.J. Witkofsky (Scotia, N.Y.) posted 31 kills as the Gulls outlasted Harvard University, 3-2, in non-conference men’s volleyball action on Friday evening in Beverly, Mass. Endicott used set scores of 45-47, 30-19, 30-21, 23-30 and 15-8 to secure its fifth straight win.
