Salem News: Endicott revels in inaugural North Shore Cup victory
Last night, the Salem News sponsored North Shore Cup recognized as its inaugural victor for their dominance in the 2011-12 season.

BEVERLY, Mass. - Sandwiched in between two Endicott women's volleyball victories over Gordon and Salem State, the trophy for the 2011-12 North Shore Cup champion was presented to the Gulls.
The Endicott Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) members (pictured right) were in attendance to help accept the trophy including Byrne Katz (softball), Chrissy Martel (women's tennis), Taylor Teixeira (field hockey), Austin Hughes (men's lacrosse) and Meg Donegan (softball).
Jean DePlacido, from the Salem News, athletic directors Brian Wylie (Endicott) and Jon Tymann (Gordon), and Teixeira all spoke about the creation of the tri-college competition, its importance in building community relations, and the fan enthusiasm over the cup.
Thus far in the 2012-13 season, Endicott leads Gordon and Salem State in the standings by taking 30 out of a possible 36 points in the competition.
