The Endicott College Gulls (20-22) spoiled Suffolk baseball's senior night beating the Rams 8-5. Endicott pounded out 15 hits in the game and also got a strong performance on the mound from freshman starter Mike Nich (Orange, Conn.) as he went six strong innings only allowing two earned runs to pick up his sixth victory of the season.

Endicott College freshman Mike Nich (Amity, Conn.) pitched his way to The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week as released by the Conference office on Monday afternoon. Nich proved to be an integral part of Endicott's Cinderella run to the Conference semifinals with his efforts over #14-ranked Curry College.

After beating fourth-seeded Salve Regina and then knocking-off No. 14 and top-seed Curry, the Gulls finally had their Cinderella run come to an end as the Curry College Colonels rallied for a pair of victories over Endicott to advance to Sunday's TCCC Finals against Western New England College. Endicott ends its season on Wednesday when the Blue and Green travel to take on Suffolk University.

Juniors Aaron Santos (Cambridge, Mass.) and Joe Klein (Monroe, Conn.), along with freshman Michael Russo (Natick, Mass.), have been named to The Commonwealth Coast Conference All-TCCC Honorable Mention Team, as announced by Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Thursday. The Gulls, who are 2-0 in the TCCC Postseason, return to action on Saturday against the winner of Curry vs. Salve Regina which takes place on Friday in Milton, Mass.

Mike Nich (Orange, Conn.) tossed a complete game shutout while junior catcher
Joe Klein (Monroe, Conn.) hit an insurance solo homerun in the ninth to lead fifth-seeded Endicott past top-seeded and 14th-ranked Curry College, 2-0, in TCCC playoff action on Wednesday afternoon in Milton, Mass. The Colonels only lost one conference game all season, boasting a 21-1 record in league play and an overall mark of 31-6.
