Endicott College’s Jenna Bortolotti (Milton, Mass.) and Merry MacDonald (Braintree, Mass.) have been named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association 2010 Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division III All-New England Second Team, it was announced on Monday morning. Bortolotti and MacDonald helped guide the Gulls to a 28-12-1 record this year and the Blue and Green’s eighth-straight The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship. Read Full Release

Salem State College used a two-run seventh-inning rally to defeat Endicott College, 5-3, Friday afternoon in the NCAA Regional Softball Tournament at Wellesley College. Salem State, now 34-9-1 for the season, advances to the loser-bracket quarterfinals on Saturday, May 15th, at 10:00 a.m. Endicott ends its season with a record of 28-12-1. Read Full Release

Second-seeded Brandeis University knocked out 11 hits in an 8-0 victory over #7 Endicott College in the opening round of the NCAA Regional Softball Tournament on Thursday afternoon at Wellesley College. The Endicott College softball team will faceoff with Brandeis University at 4:00 p.m. in the first game of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday, May 13th. The Gulls (28-10-1) travel down the road to Wellesley College where the Blue Pride is hosting the NCAA Regional event at their facilities. Six other teams will be playing at the Wellesley Regional Site including top-seeded Eastern Connecticut State, Husson University, Rivier College, Bowdoin University, US Coast Guard Academy and Salem State College. Days after winning its eighth-consecutive The Commonwealth Coast Conference Championship, the Endicott College softball team swept the TCCC weekly awards as Sarah Spaziano (Norton, Mass.) was named TCCC Player of the Week, Jenna Bortolotti (Milton, Mass.) was named the Pitcher of the Week and Nicole Devlin (Dudley, Mass.) was named the conference’s Rookie of the Week, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Endicott College’s Jenna Bortolotti (Milton, Mass.) tossed seven innings of two-hit softball in leading the Gulls to a 2-0 victory over the University of New England in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Playoff action on Friday night. Sarah Spaziano (Norton, Mass.) also added a solo homerun for the Gulls (27-10-1), who move on to their 11th-straight TCCC Championship game. The Nor’easters (25-13) will take on Western New England College at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning.

Endicott College’s Jenna Bortolotti (Milton, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference’s Pitcher of the Year while freshman Krista Fales (Melrose, Mass.) was named the TCCC Rookie of the Year and Merry MacDonald (Braintree, Mass.) was named the TCCC Senior Scholar Athlete, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Wednesday afternoon. Bortolotti, MacDonald and Fales highlight eight All-TCCC nominations for the Gulls, who led the Blue and Green to a 25-10-1 overall record and 18-5-1 mark in league play.

Endicott College’s Krista Fales (Melrose, Mass.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Rookie of the Week while Jenna Bortolotti (Milton, Mass.) grabbed Co-TCCC Pitcher of the Week honors, it was announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday afternoon. Fales and Bortolotti helped lead the Gulls to a 5-0-1 mark in games last week and the No. 1 seed in the upcoming TCCC Tournament.
