Craig Kaufman has been named the newest Sports Information Graduate Assistant at Endicott College by Athletic Director Brian Wylie.

Craig, a native of Peabody, Mass., will return to the North Shore after spending last year as the sports information assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At MIT, Craig was responsible for 10 of the Engineer's Division 3-leading 33 sports, including men's and women's tennis, sailing, fencing and swimming and diving, women's soccer and lightweight crew, and men's baseball. Craig also sat on the steering committee for the 2010 NEWMAC Men's Swimming and Diving Championships and MIT's 150th Anniversary convocation and served as tournament director for the NEWMAC men's tennis tournament.

After graduating from Tufts in 2009 with a degree in English,Craig stayed with the Jumbos as a Sports Information intern, providing coverage of the men's and women's soccer and women's volleyball teams. He was the on-site reporter to both the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) and the NCAA as Tufts hosted both the conference and regional volleyball tournaments.

In January of 2010, Craig left to take the job as Assistant Sports Information Director at Louisiana College in Pineville, La. He served as the primary contact for a nationally ranked women's basketball team and the top-ranked softball team in the country for eight weeks straight, while also working with the men's basketball and baseball teams.

Craig recently completed, with incredible joy, his third season as the Boston Bruins correspondent for hockey legend Stan Fischler's weekly magazine, The Fischler Report. He has also contributed to Maxhockey.com and The New England Hockey Journal. Craig was part of a team that launched HockeyBarn.com, an interactive news site devoted to high school hockey in Massachusetts, for which he served as the Division 1 beat writer. Craig just recently finished his second summer as the official scorer for the North Shore Navigators, 2010 champions of the New England College Baseball League.

Craig will be the primary contact for several of Endicott's teams while studying to earn his Masters Degree in Athletic Administration.
