Men’s 5 on 5 Basketball All-EC 1st Team
PG- Shaq Gaines- A terrific ball handler who can navigate through the toughest defenses. Gaines always seemed to make a big shot when his team needed it and played nard-nosed defense on the other end of the floor. His ability to find open teammates in transition is what sets Gaines apart from the rest of the league.
SG- Andriquez Farmer- A combo guard with the skills to play numerous positions. Has an electric first step and the ability to knock down a shot from anywhere on the court. Farmer’s extraordinary athletic ability makes him a difference make on the offensive and defensive side of the basketball.
SF- Adam Rosen - Silky, smooth shot from the outside. Rosen is one of the deadliest 3pt shooters in the league. With extremely impressive shooting range and the ability to drive to the hoop, Adam is among the top offensive talents in the league.
PF- Trevor Maynard - An extremely versatile offensive force. Can shoot from the outside or drive to the basket against even the toughest defenders. His unheralded ability to lock down the opposition’s best player is possibly Maynard’s best attribute.
C- Victor Resto- A terrific rebounder with surprisingly strong ball skills. Can handle the basketball away from the basket but his numerous low post moves make in almost unable to be covered one on one. Was a big contributor towards his team’s championship run in 2011.
Women’s 5 on 5 Basketball All- EC 1st Team
PG- Stacy Watt- A strong ball handler who has the ability to dribble through double teams with ease. With a strong outside shot and the propensity to find an open teammate, Watt was the perfect floor general for her championship winning team.
SG- Jenn Lever - A disciplined defender who always gave her full effort every single game. Lever has always seemed to make a play in big situations for her team. Few players in the league can handle the basketball better than Jenn.
SF- Trish Ledbetter- A well-rounded basketball player on both ends of the court. Trish has able to make big shots for her team and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. With several years of eligibility left, Ledbetter has the ability to develop into an MVP-caliber player.
PF- Karyn Plante- Terrific athlete. Plante is able to cause several mismatches due to her terrific speed and impressive agility. When allowed to run the floor freely, there are few better in the league at making plays than Karyn.
C-Courtney Larrivey - An all-around great basketball player. Offensively, Courtney can score from the outside or take the ball to the basket. Defensively, she is a pest for opposing players, altering or blocking most shots that come her way.
