BEVERLY, Mass. – Adding to a senior year and an Endicott career filled with accomplishments, defender Caitlin Peters (Salem, N.H.) became the first Endicott player to earn Scholar All-East Region status from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).
The East Region, one of just the four that the NSCAA divides the country into, includes schools as far West as Ohio and as far south as Virginia.
Peters was accorded Second Team honors for her selection, which is voted on by a committee of coaches, and honors players for excellent work both on the field and in the classroom.
The two-time Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Year, Peters is one of the most respected defenders in the league. She was the top vote-getter for both the New England Woman's Intercollegiate Soccer Association (NEWISA) Senior Bowl and NEWISA All Region Team, at any position.
She has already been named an NSCAA All-Region Selection and was also picked as CoSIDA Capital One Academic All District.
A physical education major, Peters has earned a GPA of 3.40 over the course of her Endicott career. She is active in Endicott's Youth Sport Trust program, and just returned to England for the second consecutive year as an ambassador for global sport.
Peters will be working at North Reading elementary and Swampscott Senior High School for her student-teaching in physical education this semester.
Four teams and an honorable mention squad are selected for the NSCAA East Region, while the North/Central and South Regions pick four teams, including an honorable mention and the West Region selects just three total teams.
