Gulls shut out second straight opponent; beat Plymouth State 9-0
PLYMOUTH, N.H. - The Endicott women's tennis team accomplished their third straight win and their second shutout victory in-a-row after defeating non-conference foe Plymouth State 9-0 on the road to improve to 4-1 overall.

The Gulls cruised through doubles play and for the second straight match, won in straight sets in all six singles flights en route to their fourth win in five chances thus far this fall.
After wins at the top two doubles matches, the freshman duo of Savannah Deady (Andover, Mass.) and Suzie Newman (Dighton, Mass.) helped to sweep doubles play with an 8-1 triumph over their Panther opponents.
In singles play, junior Annie Gluskin (Duxbury, Mass.) earned her second win at the #5 singles position this season after claiming a 6-2, 6-2 victory while junior Emily McDonough (West Hartford, Conn.) improved to 2-0 in #6 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win.
At the top of the Endicott lineup sophomore Chrissy Martel (Westbrook, Conn.), who won the top singles flight 6-2, 6-3, teamed up with fellow sophomore Natalie Egbert (Gorham, Maine) for an 8-2 victory at #1 doubles. Egbert also won her #2 singles match 6-1, 6-2.
Amy Heacox (Marion, Mass.) earned two points on the day with a 6-3, 6-1 win at #3 singles and an 8-3 win at #2 doubles with teammate Brittany Potter (Bedford, N.H.). Senior captain Gina Pinciaro (Beverly, Mass.) failed to give up a point in her 6-0, 6-0 shutout at #4 singles.
Endicott returns to conference play with a road CCC match against Salve Regina on Thursday, September 13th at 3:30 pm.
