Gulls sweep past Colonels 3-0 in CCC action

MILTON, Mass. – The Endicott women’s volleyball team served up 16 aces as a team en route to a 3-0 (25-11, 25-11, 25-12) win over Curry to improve to 5-1 in CCC play. The Gulls evened their overall record to 11-11 while Curry fell to 4-16 and 0-6 in conference matches.
Gulls freshman Hannah Dahlgren (Queensbury, N.Y.) struck a match-high six kills and recorded two block assists as part of an eight block evening for Endicott as a team.
Sophomores Carly Beers (Traverse City, Mich.) and Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) both contributed with five kills with Beers adding a match-high eight digs.
Freshman Emily Gillich (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was a major factor in Endicott’s success on the serve, totaling four aces to lead the Gulls. Gillich also had five digs and two kills in the overall solid effort.
Curry freshman Courtney DiBiasio (Coventry, Conn. led Curry with four kills and six digs with sophomore Tyla Miller (Marshfield, Mass.) matching Beers for a match-high eight digs.
Endicott will be back on the court tomorrow, at home, against NESCAC foe Tufts at 7:00 pm in MacDonald Gymnasium. The Colonels hosts non-conference opponent Suffolk on Thursday at 6:00 pm.
