Endicott falls twice in trimatch with Coast Guard and Conn College

NEW LONDON, Conn. - Coming off their five-set win over regionally-ranked Tufts, the Endicott women's volleyball team looked to continue their non-conference success but lost twice in a trimatch with Coast Guard and Connecticut College on Saturday.
In the two matches combined, junior Ashley Norley (Sudbury, Mass.) recorded 38 digs and sophomore Callie Dolan (Westford, Mass.) had 12 kills. Setter Sarah Allshouse (Berthoud, Colo.) dished out 43 assists on the day.
Match One vs Coast Guard

Endicott lost 3-1 (23-25, 25-14, 25-20, 25-12) to Coast Guard despite strong offensive efforts from Dolan, Elyse Barbour (Greenville, R.I.) and Falyn Torelli (Pelham, N.Y.). Dolan's eight kills were a team-high while both Barbour and Torelli chipped in with seven kills each.
Endicott's blockers were effective at the net as Barbour had one solo and two assisted stops. Hannah Dahlgren (Queensbury, N.Y.) led the Gulls with four assisted blocks against Coast Guard.
Gulls sophomore Carly Beers (Traverse City, Mich.) had three kills without an error while digging eight opposing attacks.
Match Two vs Connecticut College

Connecticut College handed Endicott a straight-set, 3-0 (25-12, 26-24, 25-20) defeat in the Gulls second match of the day.
Norley was once again effective with 20 digs and zero reception errors. Torelli, along with her three kills, a service ace and six digs, was also a strong receiver with no errors.
Endicott's offensive numbers were spread out as Dahlgren led with five kills with four players (Allshouse, Beers, Dolan, Barbour) each striking four kills apiece.
