BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College is a pioneer in requiring comprehensive internship experiences in every program of study for undergraduate students. Here's a look into cheerleading student-athlete and psychology major Gina Sherman's '19 (Northborough, Mass.) internship experience at The Cove Elementary School.
BEVERLY, Mass. - The semester-long internship is one of the essential pieces to Endicott's experiential learning model which includes two 120-hour internships, a semester-long internship, and senior thesis. In essence, it gets undergraduate students career ready with a loaded resume geared towards whatever their postgraduate endeavors may be.
BEVERLY, Mass. – Prior to her spring 2017 study abroad trip to Bond University in Australia, Endicott cheerleading rising senior Megan Chaganis (Hampstead, N.H.) had never traveled outside of the United States. Just the thought of spending four months on the other side of the world seemed frightening to her, but if you were to ask Megan now how she feels about that notion she’d sing an entirely different tune.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Endicott cheerleading team finished 10th overall out of 15 programs at the National Cheerleading Association (NCA) Collegiate National Championship earlier this weekend with a score of 86.95 points.
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott rising junior Carli Fontaine (Eliot, Maine) was recently hired by the National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) as a staff member. For the remainder of the summer, Fontaine will tour the Northeast region with the NCA to instruct fellow cheerleaders at different camps.
BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott cheer team announced that they will be holding tryouts for the 2015-16 calendar year on May 3rd, 2015 in the Post Center. Tryouts will start promptly at 10:00 a.m. and will last until roughly 1:00 p.m. The team is coming off their highest finish ever at the NCA Nationals, finishing 5th in the All-Girls Division III competition.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- The 2015 Endicott cheerleading team, led by Head Coach Terrie Cook and her assistant Nicole Palermo, made history by leading the team to the best record in school history at the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championships. With captains Amy Yandow (Essex Junction, Vt.) and Meghan Grzybinski (Holbrook, Mass.), as well as seniors Courtney Karpiej (Torrington, Conn.) and Elizabeth Goddard (Winthrop, Mass.) leading the way, the team weathered two days of grueling competition on the Band Shell in Daytona Beach Florida, to finish fifth in the country in a very tough Division III All-Girl division.
BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott cheerleading team announced that tryouts for the 2014-15 season will be held on Sunday, May 4th from 12-4 p.m. in the MacDonald Gymnasium. The team, which is heading to nationals in the next two weeks, has one last competition in Woburn, Mass. on the 30th before they depart.
BEVERLY, Mass.- The Endicott Cheerleaders continue to show that not only do they work hard on the field, they also take great pride in their services to the community. On campus, the team participated in the Safe Trick or Treat event on Halloween. These young women selflessly gave up their night to hand out candy and do face painting for kids (and parents) around the Beverly area. The members were full of smiles and enjoyed the happiness that was brought to each child's face.
BEVERLY, Mass.- There are only 5 weeks left until the Lady Gulls fly down to Daytona Beach to compete in the NCA Collegiate National Competition. The girls have been hard at work cheering on the basketball team, leading pep rally's, doing some great community service, and having great practices! Back in August the Endicott College Cheerleaders received a "Silver Bid" from NCA and also the "Most Improved" Award, setting the tone for a great season.
BEVERLY, Mass.- The cheerleading team will be hosting tryouts on Sunday, May 5th in the MacDonald Gymnasium in the Post Center. The session will start at 10am sharp. The team is coming off of a school record 3rd place finish in the semi-final round at NCA Nationals and is still competing.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla.- The Endicott College cheerleading team made program history on Thursday as the team placed third after day 1 of competition at the NCA Collegiate National Championships. The team now advances to the finals tomorrow at a time that is still to be determined.
