BEVERLY, Mass. – Former Endicott men's lacrosse standout student-athletes John Ortolani '08 (Billerica, Mass.), Eric Hagarty '10 (Sudbury, Mass.), Harrison Cotter '15 (Lordship, Conn.), and Cameron Bell '16 (Falmouth, Maine) were all selected in yesterday's 2017 Major League Lacrosse (MLL) Supplemental Draft. ORTOLANI JOINS LIZARDS
In 2017, Ortolani will play for his fourth MLL team since his professional lacrosse career started in 2009 (Boston Cannons 2009-12, Rochester Rattlers 2013-15, Florida Launch 2016, New York Lizards 2017). For a full breakdown of Ortolani's MLL career click here – John Ortolani MLL Stats.
During his time at Endicott, Ortolani was a two-time All-Conference and All-Region selection. Ortolani currently ranks first all-time in faceoff percentage (.690), and third in ground balls (368) / ground balls per game (6.34) in program history.
BELL, COTTER, & HAGARTY NOW FAMILIAR FACES WITH CANNONS
Bell, Cotter, and Hagarty will embark on another season with the Boston Cannons under former Endicott head coach Sean Quirk. Last season, Quirk led the Cannons to an 8-6 record, a season that saw the Cannons win four of their last five games to finish in a seven-way tie for first place. The Cannons missed the playoffs following the tiebreaker elements for the seven MLL teams that tied with an 8-6 record.
