Endicott, Tufts Join Forces For Team IMPACT Game On April 10

The Endicott men's lacrosse team huddles up.

BEVERLY, Mass. — On Tuesday, April 10, the Endicott College and Tufts University men's lacrosse programs will come together and join forces at Hempstead Stadium to host a Team IMPACT game at 7 PM. The goal of Tuesday's event is to raise funds and awareness for Team IMPACT, which is a national nonprofit organization that connects children facing serious and chronic illnesses with local college athletic teams, forming life-long bonds and life-changing outcomes.

Prior to the game, Endicott and Tufts will honor their respective Team IMPACT teammates, Kenny Wallace (EC) and Jacob Beranger (TU) during the introduction of each team's starting lineups. Kenny and Jacob will also serve as honorary captains for their respective programs, and take part in the coin toss at midfield.

Throughout the game, fans who would like to donate or find out more information about Team IMPACT can stop by the organization's table near the entrance of Hempstead Stadium.

Since 2011, Team IMPACT has matched more than 1,400 children with more than 500 colleges and universities in 47 states, reaching over 50,000 participating student-athletes. The child joins the athletic team and the student-athletes join the child's support team – from Draft Day to Graduation. Throughout the journey, the child gains strength, camaraderie, and support while the student-athletes experience lessons of courage, resiliency, and perspective they can't learn in a classroom.

Team IMPACT has more than 1,000 teams across the country waiting to be matched with children, ages 5-16, who have been diagnosed with a serious or chronic illness and who could benefit from becoming a member of the team. If you know a child who may be interested, visit www.goteamimpact.org for more information.
