Men's Tennis Secures Road 7-0 Victory Versus Hartford
HARTFORD, Conn. — The Endicott men's tennis team defeated the University of Hartford, 7-0, in Conference of New England (CNE) action on Sunday morning at the Magic Lincer Tennis Club.
In doubles, the Gulls claimed the point behind victories at all three spots. Conrad Kadel (Heidelberg, Germany)/ Aaron Terpko (Shrewsbury, Mass.) were victorious at No. 1 7-6 (8-6), while Eric Scalici (Essex Fells, N.J.)/ Spencer Smith (Albany, N.Y.) earned a 6-1 win at No. 2. Greg Noroian (Worcester, Mass.)/ James Zeolie (Amherst, N.H.) rounded out doubles at No. 3 securing a 6-4 decision.
Carrying a 1-0 lead into singles, the Gulls wasted little time taking control of the match.
Scalici and Zeolie led the way in singles victories (No. 3, 6-2, 6-0 | No. 6, 6-0, 6-2). Then Drew Benporath (South Guildford, Western Australia), Ethan Hopman (Summit, N.J.), and Noroian all were victorious at No. 2 (6-1, 6-1), No. 4 (6-2, 6-1), and No. 5 (6-2, 6-1). Kadel finished the match after dropping the first set at No. 1 before winning the next two sets (4-6, 6-2, 10-4) to secure the 7-0 win.

Endicott (12-7, 10-1 CNE) now enters the CNE Tournament with their seed and opponent to be determined. Hartford (3-14, 2-9 CNE) finishes out the season as they travel to take on Western Connecticut State.
