BEVERLY, Mass. — After posting a 2-0 record to open up their 2019 campaign last weekend, the Endicott men's volleyball program has been ranked No. 14 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-15 Coaches' Poll. It was announced by the organization yesterday.
The Gulls earned the No. 14 spot on this week's poll behind decisive victories over Wells (3-1) and Elmira (3-1) last weekend.
Yesterday's ranking announcement from the AVCA marks the fourth time that Endicott has earned a spot on the national poll under seventh-year head coach George Chapell '08.
Meanwhile, historically speaking for the program, the Gulls' highest national ranking is No. 6, which occurred on March 9, 2010. Overall, Endicott has been ranked 39 times in the AVCA National Poll, including 14 times inside the top-10.
Endicott (2-0) travels to Kean University this weekend to face three nationally ranked teams at The Clash At Kean. On Friday (1/25), the Gulls will play No. 7 Stevenson at 4 PM and follow that matchup with No. 2 Stevens and No. 4 Kean on Saturday (1/26) at 3 and 5 PM, respectively.
