Women's Cross Country Finishes 10th at Keene State Invitational

In a challenging field of 12 teams, Brandeis took top honors, while Wellesley, Wheaton (Mass.) rounded out the top three. The Gulls finished ahead of Babson, Fitchburg State, and Clark.
Leading the way for Endicott was Cassandra Cosma (Center Moriches, N.Y.) whose time of 21:08 on the five-kilometer course was good for 37th overall.
Following Cosma in Endicott's top-5 were Michaela Kenney (Springfield, Mass.), Brie am Ende (East Lyme, Conn.), Ella Aldrich (Winchester, Mass.), and Julia Adrian (Noank, Conn.). The group finished 39th (21:15), 46th (21:26), 49th (21:45), and 50th (21:55) overall in the field of 116.

"The women came back to run a competitive 5k this week against a strong field of competition," said head coach Spencer Lange. "It was encouraging to run the final 5k of the season in this fashion, as we now shift our focus for the next month towards the final regular season race and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship."
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
- The 8th place finish represents a five-spot jump from 2019 when the Gulls finished 13th.
- Nye and Costa have finished as the top two runners for Endicott in every race this season.
- The spread between Endicott's first and fifth runners was 47 seconds.
WHAT'S NEXT
The Gulls will compete in two weeks at the Suffolk Invitational serving as a preview for the NCAA East Regional course, at Franklin Park. There will be nearly 40 teams in attendance at the Suffolk Invitational on Saturday, October 16.
