BEVERLY, Mass. – For the remainder of the 2016-17 academic year, the Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department will simulcast all of its remaining home contests on Facebook Live, via www.ecgulls.tv, to give its fans multiple outlets to watch games on, at home or on the road.
The goal in simulcasting games on Facebook Live and www.ecgulls.tv is to allow Endicott fans the added ability to interact while watching the Gulls play. Fans can comment, like, cheer on, and react to the action unfolding in front of them, in real-time, all while doing so on their mobile devices or desktops.
The Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department has already broadcast five Facebook Live games this season, and witnessed positive feedback/results from its trial run.
"Our dedicated followers are constantly on-the-go and we're excited to bring the action directly to them," said Rob Palardy, Assistant Athletic Director for Strategic Communications. "We've seen this initiative become an effective method of providing new, interactive content to a broader audience on the Facebook platform in both the professional and collegiate ranks and we believe Endicott's fans are going to enjoy this experience."
Streaming on Facebook Live also gives the Endicott Athletics & Recreation Department another chance to further engage its alumnae/i fan bases, connect with new fans, and showcase all of its teams to the social media world.
Below, fans can find the Facebook Live schedule for games this week. Please note that when multiple games are being played at the same time, only one game – regarded as a featured contest for that day – will be shown on the platform.
