BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott baseball student-athletes Kevin Gould (Rollinsford, N.H.) and Nick Perkins (Nashua, N.H.) have been named to the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper NCAA Division III Players to Watch List.

Gould, who claimed Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Year honors and two All-Region selections in 2017, returns to the mound this season after taking a red-shirt year in 2018.

Gould's impressive 2017 campaign included a 6-1 record, two complete games, one shutout, 53 innings pitched, 45 strikeouts and only seven walks, 7.64 strikeouts per game, and a 2.38 ERA. Gould finished 10th in the conference in strikeouts, seventh in strikeouts per game (7.64), and sixth in ERA. Nationally, Gould is No. 21 in walks plus hits per innings pitched (WHIP) at 0.96, No. 34 in strikeout-to-walk ratio (6.43), No. 46 in walks allowed per nine innings (1.19), and No. 99 in ERA.

This is Gould's second career Players to Watch honor from the Collegiate Baseball Newspaper.

Perkins earned a spot on this year's watch list behind a stellar .278/.411/.625 slash line in 2018. Perkins also notched 20 hits, three doubles, two triples, six home runs, 24 RBI and 14 walks in his freshman campaign for the Gulls.

Among conference student-athletes, Perkins ranked second in home runs, fourth in triples, and No. 18 in RBI.

Endicott opens up its 2019 season with a three-game road trip against Trinity (Texas) from February 22-24.
