BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior right-handed pitcher Kevin Gould (Rollinsford, N.H.) has earned D3baseball.com All-New England Region Third Team accolades. It was announced by the organization earlier today.
With today's announcement, Gould is now a three-time All-Region selection. He has been named a D3baseball.com All-New England Region selection twice and an ABCA/Rawlings All-New England honoree once during his career, so far.
Meanwhile, this past season, Gould made 11 appearances (all starts) for the Gulls and posted a 6-2 overall record, two complete games, one shutout (three combined), and a 2.19 earned run average (ERA) in 65 2/3 innings pitched.
Gould also notched 71 strikeouts, which included three separate games with 11 strikeouts, and held opponents to a .226 batting average.
Among all Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) pitchers, Gould ranks among the leaders in the following categories: games started (1st), wins (2nd), complete games (3rd), shutouts (1st), innings pitched (3rd), strikeouts (2nd), strikeouts per game (3rd, 9.73), batting average against (21st), and ERA (1st).
YEAR IN REVIEW
Endicott went 23-18 overall (9-5 CCC) and advanced to the postseason for the 24th straight season. The Gulls' 20-plus win season also marks their 11th consecutive season with 20 or more victories and 18th overall in program history.
