Wladkowski, Scully Lead No. 3/4 Baseball Past Suffolk, 19-0

EAST BOSTON, Mass. — The No. 3/4 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team topped Suffolk, 19-0, on Tuesday afternoon in Conference of New England (CNE) action from Adams Field.

LP (0-0): Colin McNeal (Los Angeles, Calif.) — 2 IP, 3 H, 4 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 0 K

Robbie Wladkowski (Norwood, Mass.) got the Gulls offense going with a grand slam in the second, and then followed up his next time around with a two-run shot in the third.

In the fourth, John Mulready (Peabody, Mass.) and Kyle Grabowski (Westfield, Mass.) each logged RBI singles to put the Gulls up 9-0.

The Gulls picked up two more in the fifth before an eight-run explosion in the sixth, making it a 19-0 lead heading into the seventh. Wladkowski tacked on an RBI double and an RBI single in the seventh, adding to his monster day.

Scully was lights out in his six innings of work. He allowed just the one hit before turning the ball over to Grady Vanidestine (Brewer, Maine), who completed the second straight Endicott shutout with a 1-2-3 seventh (2 K's).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

• The Gulls advance to 31-14 all-time against the Rams.
• This season, the Blue and Green outscored the Rams, 42-4.
• The Gulls possess the highest scoring offense in Divsion III (11.8 runs per game).
• Second career multi-homer game for Wladkowski (5/3/23).
• His eight RBI's tied a program single-game record.
• He moved into sole possession of fourth place all-time in career home runs (22).
• Wladkowski and Liponis combined to go 6-for-8 from the eight and nine spots in the order.

No. 3/4 Endicott (27-3, 12-0 CNE) heads to UMass Dartmouth tomorrow for a 3:30 PM non-conference matchup. Suffolk (11-19, 4-7 CNE) heads to Salem State tomorrow for a 3:30 PM first pitch against the Vikings.
