Scully Named D3baseball.com Preseason First Team All-American
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott College senior baseball pitcher Evan Scully (Maynard, Mass.) has received D3baseball.com Preseason All-America First Team honors, the organization announced on Wednesday afternoon.
The senior right-hander joins Harry Oringer '15 and Nick Quattro '16 as the only members in program history to achieve Preseason First Team All-America honors.
Overall, he is the eighth Preseason All-American in program history.
Scully was a major part of Coach Haley's rotation and a vital arm that brought the team back to its third consecutive College World Series in 2025.
In his first full season as a starting pitcher, Scully tossed 70.2 IP in 17 appearances (11 starts). He featured an ERA of 2.17, a WHIP of 0.85, 49 strikeouts, and with his 10-0 record, he became just the fourth Gulls pitcher ever to secure a 10-win season.
On the national scale, he ranked fourth in WHIP, 14th in strikeout-to-walk ratio (7.00), 36th in ERA, and 48th in innings pitched.
Perhaps his two most iconic moments of 2025 came in back-to-back starts. He threw back-to-back complete game performances against Nichols (May 8, Conference of New England Semifinals) and No. 19/24 Concordia (Texas) (May 17, Regional Semifinal), the latter of which was a two-hit shutout.
Over the course of his career thus far, Scully ranks first among Endicott pitchers in ERA (1.74), first in fewest walks allowed per 9 innings (1.16), and third in lowest opponent batting average (.202).
