Endicott Stunned by Babson, 2-1
Oct. 19, 2003
After a long and at times grueling pre-season, Endicott opened their season at home Saturday with rival Babson College, hoping to open the season in a big way.
Both teams battled fiercely through most of the first period, but it was Babson who found the back of the net first on a goal from Babson's Will Boyce. Endicott fought back hard in the second period and closed the gap on power play as Mike Tonucci set up Joe Dudek for the game tying goal. Just five minutes later, Babson answered back with a goal from Scott Lanz with 3:19 left in the second period. Adam Partaledis and Ben Kramer lead the barrage of shots from Endicott in the third period, but neither was able to capitalize and the game ended with Babson on top 2-1. Jeff Pardue was in net, stopping 11 of 13.
The gulls will now begin a three game road trip, facing Lyndon State, Western Connecticut State, and Rhode Island College before returning home to face NECHA powerhouse MIT on November 1st at 7pm. Come out and support the Gulls!
