Phipps qualifies for Zone Finals

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College senior equestrian rider Alisha Phipps (Cotuit, Mass.) has qualified for Zone Finals after her second place finish in Novice Flat at the IHSA Regional Finals hosted by Endicott College on Sunday. Phipps will represent Endicott on Saturday against the top riders in Zone One at a show hosted by Mount Holyoke College.

Alisha was one of five Endicott riders to compete in the Regional Finals held at Springtide Farm in Boxford, Mass. Phipps also rode in Novice Fences where she came in third place. Stephanie Carlisle (Franklin, Mass.) also earned the yellow ribbon for her third place finish in Walk-Trot while Kim Davis (West Hartford, Conn.) followed her in fourth. Lauren Horth (Dalton, Mass.) placed fourth in Open Fences and Elizabeth Browning (Worcester, Mass.) rode in a very large Walk-Trot-Canter class but did not place.

Riders who finish 1st or 2nd at Zone finals qualify to go to nationals which will be held at Miller Coliseum in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
