Equestrian wins Reserve Championship to open 2010 season

The Endicott equestrian team began the 2010 season winning a Reserve Championship at a show hosted by the University of Vermont on October 9.
Intermediate rider \#Anna Pavlov\# pointed out of Intermediate Fences with a blue ribbon while freshman Victoria Knight placed second as well. \#Anna Wilcox\# emerged with a pair of ribbons after securing second place in Novice Fences and third in Novice Flat. Freshman \#Molly Shannon\# and veteran \#Anna McKendry\# both finished first in the Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter classes.
On Sunday, Endicott competed in its second event in as many days. The Gulls finished fourth in the team standings in a show hosted by Middlebury College (Vt.).
The brightest spot was a 1-2 placing in Open Fences by \#Lauren Horth\# and \#Anna Pavlov\#, respectively. This was a first for an Endicott Team. \#Anne Wilcox\# got a red ribbon in Novice Flat and McKendry pointed out of Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter with a second place finish.
\#Molly Shannon\# put in a strong ride in Advanced Walk-Trot-Canter with a second place showing. \#Georgina Heaseman\# also contributed a strong performance for the Blue and Green. \#Tricia Morrison\# pointed out and now will ride in Intermediate Flat and Fences.
Endicott continues their season on October 16 at a show hosted by Dartmouth College. One day later, the Gulls will compete at a show hosted by Colby-Sawyer.
