2017 Football Season Preview

Cornerback Travis Bounsy gets in a defensive stance.

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott football team embarks on its 2017 season on Saturday, September 2 at home against Framingham State University at 12 PM. Here's a preview of the upcoming season for the Gulls.

RETURNING CAST (ROSTER): The Endicott football program will rely on a cast of key returners and several freshmen to produce another successful season this fall. The Gulls welcome back seven All-Conference student-athletes to the fold, highlighted by Defensive Rookie of the Year Jesse Simoni (East Greenbush, N.Y.). The other All-Conference returners include in Travis Bounsy (West Newbury, Mass.), Zach DeNike (Old Tappan, N.J.), Hakim Fleming (Bridgeport, Conn.), Brett Fox (Niantic, Conn.), Isaiah Gibbs (Teaneck, N.J.) and co-captain Shane Toland (Canton, Conn.). In addition to all their returners, the Gulls have also brought in a talented recruiting class that features student-athletes from California, Florida, Texas, New York, Panama, and all the New England states.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR (SCHEDULE): Endicott's 2017 schedule will once again play a pivotal role in the development of its student-athletes within the program throughout the year as the Gulls have tasked themselves with one of the toughest schedules in all of NCAA Division III for the third straight season. Last season, Endicott ranked No. 14 overall in strength of the schedule among 247 programs.

PRESEASON PLAUDITS (CCC FOOTBALL PRESEASON POLL): Endicott was picked third overall in the CCC Football preseason coaches' poll in a vote conducted by the league's six head coaches.

2016 YEAR IN REVIEW: Endicott went 5-5 overall and 5-2 in conference play last season.
