BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott football student-athletes Shea McManaway (Lisbon, Conn.), William Rivera (Orangeburg, N.Y.), and Nick DiCairano (Trumbull, Conn.) have all earned Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Sunday.

McManaway was selected as the CCC Football Offensive Player and Offensive Rookie of the Week to highlight the group of award winners, while Rivera received Defensive Player of the Week honors and DiCairano collected Special Teams Player of the Week accolades.

In Endicott's 52-22 win over Curry College last Saturday, McManaway showed that he is adjusting well to his new role as a receiver with a career day on the gridiron. The converted quarterback reeled in nine catches for 91 yards including three scores. Both his catch and touchdown numbers were career-highs and his three touchdowns are also tied for second all-time in program history in a single game.

Meanwhile, Rivera had a game-high 12 tackles (seven solo, five assisted) in Endicott's 52-22 conference-opening victory over Curry. Among those tackles, were a sack and 1.5 tackles for a loss. He also forced a fumble - that was recovered by the Gulls and led to an Endicott 65-yard scoop and score - and had one pass breakup.

Lastly, DiCairano continued to be consistent last Saturday as he contributed 10 points to the 52-22 victory. DiCairano notched a 45-yard field goal, which placed him in a tie for fifth all-time in program history for the longest field goal made in a game, and converted all seven of his point-after attempts.

This also is the second week in a row the Endicott football program has been awarded CCC Football Offensive Player and Offensive Rookie, Defensive Player and Special Teams Player of the Week. Last Sunday, John Kenney (Wilmington, Mass.), George Balian (Burlington, Mass.) and DiCairano received the same honors for the Gulls.
