Strong Second Half Powers Endicott Past Western New England, 45-24
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott football team put on an impressive second-half scoring display to power its way past Western New England (WNE), 45-24, in Saturday night's Conference of New England (CNE) showdown from Hempstead Stadium.
After a back-and-forth first half that saw the Gulls head into the break with a one-score lead (17-10), they turned on the jets in the second, outscoring the Golden Bears 28-14 to take the contest on their home turf comfortably.
Bryan Ferreira (Woburn, Mass.) led the Gulls' scoring efforts on the evening. The reigning CNE Rookie of the Week posted a monster 259 all-purpose yard performance (184 rush, 75 return) along with three total touchdowns (one return, two rushing).
In the third quarter, he posted consecutive scores via a 75-yard kick return (6:44) and an 84-yard run to the house (2:48).
Markys Bridgewater (Lawrence, Mass.) joined him in the scoring column from the backfield. The junior halfback broke loose for a 54-yard rushing touchdown in the second quarter (14:30) amid his seven-rush, 67-yard evening.
In the passing game, Shea Lynch (Peabody, Mass.) threw for 133 yards (12-16, TD, INT), finding Mike Greene (Wolcott, Conn.) for his lone passing score in the third quarter (10:52, 4 yards).
Greene also hauled in a 34-yard receiving touchdown from Joe Carrara (Bourne, Mass.) on a trick play to pad the lead late (Q4, 9:39).
On the defensive side of the ball, Danny Fleming (Tewksbury, Mass.) led all Gulls with 10 tackles. Brian Daly (Franklin Square, N.Y.), Will Shannon (Topsfield, Mass.), Chase Duncan (Queens, N.Y.), Joe Tirrell (Franklin, Mass.), Mason Bachry (Haverhill, Mass.), and Alfino Davis (Cranston, R.I.) each made five-plus tackles.
Bachry led all student-athletes with a career-high four breakups on the evening, while Caleb Luz (Hudson, Mass.) was the only Gull to record a sack on the night.

- Endicott leads the all-time series, 13-9.
- The Gulls have taken five straight matchups in the series and six of the last seven.
- Ferreira's 259 all-purpose yards are the fourth-most in single-game program history.
- He set the program record for most all-purpose yards by a freshman with his 259-yard outing.
- Brandon Alfaro Mateo (Marlborough, Mass.) set a new career-high for PATs made (6-for-6).
- Greene tied his career high for receiving touchdowns in a game (9/27/25 vs. Husson).
- Bachry's four pass breakups rank tied second all-time in a single game (record is 5, 3 times).
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (5-1, 3-0 CNE) heads to Nichols next Saturday for a noon CNE matchup with the Bison. WNE (3-3, 1-2 CNE) travels to Curry next Saturday for a 12 PM CNE contest.
