Bridgewater Named To D3football.com Team Of The Week
D3FOOTBALL.COM RELEASE | ALL-TIME HONOREES
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior running back Markys Bridgewater (Lawrence, Mass.) has been selected to the D3football.com Team of the Week, as announced earlier today.
This is Bridgewater's first career honor, making him the 13th student-athlete in program history to earn D3football.com Team of the Week accolades.
He is also the second running back ever to claim the award, joining teammate Bryan Ferreira (Woburn, Mass.), who received the distinction earlier this season on October 28.
Last Saturday (11/15), Bridgewater posted a career day when it mattered most, as he led Endicott to a 45-17 victory over Curry for the Conference of New England championship.
Bridgewater rushed for 236 yards and two touchdowns on just nine attempts (26.2 yards per carry). He also hauled in one catch for 18 yards.
His first touchdown was a 90-yard house call up the right sideline to break a 17-17 tie with 4:42 remaining in the third quarter. Bridgewater capped his career day in the fourth via a 47-yard dash at the 12:31 mark of the quarter to lift the Gulls to a 38-17 advantage.
His 236 rushing yards on the afternoon shattered his previous career high of 130, set earlier this year against UNE.
