Mehdi Squalli '21 M'23 enters his fourth season on the coaching staff in 2025-26. Squalli was officially elevated to Co-Defensive Coordinator / Defensive Line Coach in March 2025. He was named recruiting coordinator in February 2024.
In his time on the coaching staff at Endicott, Squalli has coached 15 All-Conference players, 4 Defensive Linemen of the Year, 2 Defensive Players of the Year, 1 D3football Region 1 Defensive Player of the Year, 7 All-Region players, 2 D3football.com Preseason All-Americans, 1 D3football.com Fourth team All-American at defensive tackle, 1 Division III Cliff Harris Award Finalist, 4 members of New England Football Association Division II/III All-New England team, and 1 2022 Gagliardi Trophy nominee.
Last season (2025), the Gulls' defense ranked at the top of the conference and among the nation's best in multiple categories, highlighted by top-25 NCAA Division III rankings in scoring defense (No. 23, 15.5 PPG) and total defense (No. 25, 268.9).
During the 2023 season, Squalli helped Endicott's defense rank among the nation's best (D3) in the following categories: passing yards allowed (2nd, 1st in CCC, 120), scoring defense (3rd, 1st, 9.7), and total defense (8th, 1st, 233.3).
Squalli joined the staff following a standout career for the Gulls on the gridiron. In 40 games played, Squalli, who played linebacker, compiled 165 tackles (67 solo, 98 assisted, 4.1 tackles per game, 9 TFL), two forced fumbles, three interceptions, 12 pass breakups, and one block on special teams.
The two-time captain guided Endicott to the New England Bowl Championship in 2019 and the Commonwealth Coast Football (CCC Football) Championship in 2021.
During his career, the Gulls notched a 27-16 overall record and an 18-6 conference mark.
He was also a CCC Football Academic All-Conference selection, a multiple Dean's List honoree, and a member of EC L.E.A.D. (Leaders of the Endicott Athletics Department).
Squalli earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2021. He also earned his Master of Science in Sport Leadership in 2022 and his MBA in 2023.
