Erin Curry Named to All Tournament Team

Beverly, MA - Endicott College sophomore goalkeeper Erin Curry was named to the All-Tournament Team at the eighth annual Zenaty Invitational Field Hockey Tournament at Springfield College this past weekend. The Endicott College Gulls opened their season in the Zenaty Tournament facing Springfield College in the opening round and Eastern Connecticut in the consolation match. In the Gull's first game against Springfield College, Curry had 12 saves. Against Eastern Connecticut Curry tallied 10 saves. She also kept the Gulls alive against Eastern Connecticut in the overtime period forcing the game into penalty strokes. "Erin played an outstanding tournament," Head Coach Laura O'Neil said. "She helped to quarterback the defensive team. She is a very positive role model and makes things happen in the defense." The Hampstead, New Hampshire native was joined by Eastern Connecticut's Mo Deegan, Western New England's Stephanie Gildart, and Springfield College's Lydia Grant and Kim Stevens to complete this impressive all tournament team. Kim Stevens was named tournament MVP.
