Anna Maria Halts Gulls' Three-Game Winning Streak

BEVERLY, MA -- Senior Suzanne Yanovitch (Hopedale, MA/Nipmuc) and Junior Nicole Eldredge (W. Barnstable, MA/Barnstable) each scored in the first half to lead Anna Maria College past Endicott, 2-1, Saturday at Endicott's North Field.
Anna Maria stayed perfect on the season at 4-0, while the Gulls dropped to 3-2.
Junior Lindsay Fallon (Southampton, NY/Southampton) scored the lone goal for the Gulls in the second half assisted by junior Caitlin Murray (Templeton, MA/Gardner).
For Anna Maria, senior Jennifer Hurley (Spencer, MA/David Prouty) played a solid game, assisting on the first goal. Junior goalkeeper, Rachel Braier (Saugus, MA/Saugus) turned away eight shots for the visitors, while Endicott junior goalie Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy) made seven saves in the second half (eight total) to keep the hosts in the game.
The Gulls had a chance to net the equalizer at the end of the game, but their corner kick was thwarted by the AMC defense. Sophomore forward Jennifer Rheaume (Blackstone,MA/Blackstone-Millville Regional), EC's leading goal scorer (4 goals), recorded three shots on goal.
Endicott travels to the University of New England on Wednesday (4 p.m.).
