Giannoni garners Conference honors

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott College sophomore \#Anna Giannoni\# (Granby, Conn.) was named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week this week in field hockey as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg M. Kaye on Monday afternoon. Giannoni led the Gulls to a 1-1 week including a crucial, 2-1, conference win over the University of New England on Saturday afternoon.
The sophomore started out the week by notching a goal in a tough 3-2 loss to Salem State. On Saturday, Giannoni netted the first goal of the match and later assisted on \#Joanne Reid\#’s (Clarksville, Md.) game-winning goal over the Nor’Easters to help end the Gulls three game losing streak. This season, Giannoni is third on the team with three goals and is second in assists with a pair of helpers.
Giannoni and the Gulls (4-4, 2-1) return to action on Tuesday night when Endicott returns back to Beverly, Mass. for a non-conference matchup with Massachusetts Institute of Technology at 6:00 p.m. on North Field.
