Endicott headed to eighth-straight ECAC Tournament

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott College field hockey team has been selected to compete in its eighth-straight ECAC Tournament, as announced by tournament officials on Monday. The Gulls, who were awarded the No. 6 seed, will travel to third-seeded Framingham State on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m.
Endicott (11-8) earned the No. 1 overall seed in The Commonwealth Coast Conference Tournament after the Blue and Green went 7-1 in TCCC regular season play. The Gulls were ousted from the conference playoff by New England College, who went on to drop a 4-1 decision to NCAA qualifier Nichols College this past Saturday.
The Gulls will meet the Rams of Framingham State College (15-4), who suffered a 3-0 setback to Keene State in the Little East Conference semifinals. FSC went 9-3 in conference play and were 8-1 in home games during the regular season.
Endicott has won two of the last three ECAC Championships, including last year’s 2008 title.
