Field Hockey All-CCC Teams Announced, Five Gulls Earn A Spot
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) named the 2013 All-CCC Field Hockey Team. The Endicott field hockey team saw five members earn a spot on the All-CCC teams as it was announced today by the league commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. The Gulls finished their regular season at 9-10, (6-6 CCC) while earning the #3 seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament.
2013 Field Hockey All-CCC Teams

The Endicott field hockey team saw five members earn a spot on the All-CCC teams as it was announced today by the league commissioner Gregg M. Kaye. The Gulls finished their regular season at 9-10, (6-6 CCC) while earning the #3 seed in the upcoming CCC Tournament.
Senior co-captains Stacie Teevens (Westborough, Mass.) and Emily O'Halloran (Cheshire, Conn.) earned a spot in the All-CCC First Team. Teevens is a key contributor to the Gulls midfield play and uses her leadership on the field to fire up her teammates around her, the award is her second conference honor of her career. O'Halloran has a killer instinct in the backfield and is a vital piece to their success as she has recorded nine defensive saves this season, this is her first season being recognized by the CCC.
Joining them on the First Team is leading scorer junior Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) who is second in the league in goals with 17 and fifth in assists with nine. This is Sawchucks third season recognized by the CCC as a member of the All-CCC teams.
Junior co-captain Meghan Leary (Hampton, N.H.) is also earning her third All-CCC honor of her career finishing up her 2013 season as a member of the All-CCC Second Team. Leary is a force in the midfield as her strong field presence and knowledge of the game help her connect the Blue and Green in transition and has become a key contributor on both offense and defense.
Finishing her career between the pipes senior goalkeeper Lizetta Solarik (Carmel, N.Y.) has earned her first All-CCC honor as she nabbed an Honorable Mention nod. Solarik has been a leader in the backfield and has had a stellar season in the cage as she is first in the conference with saves (173) and third in the conference in goals against (36) and goals against average (2.35).
The Gulls will head into the CCC Tournament as the #3 seed where they will travel to #2 Gordon on Wednesday, November 6th for a 4:00 p.m. matchup. The winner will face the winner of the contest between the #1 University of New England vs. #4 Nichols.
