2014 Endicott Field Hockey Schedule

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott field hockey team has released their slate of 19 regular season games for next fall. The Gulls are coming off a 9-11 (6-6 CCC) season, advancing to the Commonwealth Conference (CCC) semifinals before being ousted by the 2013 CCC Champions, Gordon. Endicott has a packed competitive schedule to go along with their conference matchups to help prepare the Blue and Green for a chance at the 2014 CCC title.

The 2014 season will start with four non-conference games before the Gulls get into CCC action.

Endicott will open their season on Friday, August 29^th with their seventh meeting against Babson College since 2007. Endicott is 2-4 against the Beavers and will look to head to Babson Park to earn the first victory since 2008. Last season the Gulls hosted the season opener and were just edged by Babson 2-1 in overtime.

The Gulls will then travel to Colby-Sawyer on September 1^st before seeing action on North Field for the first two home games on September 4^th and 10^th against Salem State and UMass. Dartmouth. Endicott is 8-3 all-time against the North Shore rivals, and will look add a tally for Endicott in the North Shore Cup matchup. Last season the Corsairs took the Gulls in a 7-1 victory and the Blue and Green will look to bounce back and tie up the all-time results as Dartmouth currently leads 3-2. Endicott last defeated the non-conference rivals in 2012 in a 3-2 overtime thriller.

On September 13^th the Gulls will face their first conference opponent of the season as they travel to Roger Williams for the third meeting between the two squads. 2013 was the first season for the Hawks field hockey team as Endicott took both decisions.

Getting halfway through September on the 16^th Endicott will host Westfield State, last season was the pair's first meeting in a decade and the Gulls lifted to a 1-0 victory in the non-conference matchup.

The Blue and Green will then play a pair of CCC contests first traveling to Western New England on the 20^th and hosting conference rivals, the University of New England on the 23^rd. The Gulls have not lost to the Golden Bears since 2010 while the Nor'easters got the best of the Blue and Green least season taking both victories. UNE will enter the matchup as the reigning ECAC Champions after being ousted by the Fighting Scots in the CCC Championship in 2013.

To close out September Endicott will travel to a competitive non-conference opponent, the Engineers of MIT and host CCC opponent Salve Regina. The Gulls have never defeated the Engineers in their six meetings but always forced a strong contest. Last season MIT spent some time in the national rankings and wrapped up their season ranked #3 in New England.

Heading into October the Blue and Green will wrap up their first round of CCC contests as they travel to Nichols and cross-town rival Gordon on the 1^st and 4^th. Last season the Gulls split with the Bison while the Fighting Scots earned the programs first CCC title since 2001.

Endicott will then start the second round of CCC play and a three home game stint as they host Roger Williams on October 11^th before facing their last non-conference opponent, Husson  on the 14^th and Western New England on the 18^th. The Blue and Green have never faced the Eagles, who are a competitive non-conference opponent belonging to the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). The Gulls look forward to hosting Husson to prepare the squad for the five remaining CCC contests before the postseason.

The regular season will end on November 1^st as the Gulls host Gordon on North Field. On November 5th the CCC Semifinals will take place with the Championship game being slated for November 8^th.
