LEWISTON, Maine – The Endicott field hockey team traveled to Bates College for a nonconference matchup and was handed a 3-0 loss.

Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the first half despite several scoring opportunities on both sides of the field.

The Bobcats opened the second half with a goal at the 37:32 mark from Grace Fitzgerald (Larchmont, N.Y.) and then extended the lead to 2-0 when Taylor Lough (Little Compton, R.I.) scored seven minutes later.

With time expiring, Bates' Lough converted on a corner opportunity to secure the 3-0 victory for the Bobcats.
