Boncek, Hogan, & Lehoullier Sweep CCC Championship Awards
BEVERLY, Mass. - Following a 2-0 week which cemented in the team's fifth Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) championship, the Endicott field hockey team saw Meaghan Hogan (Chesire, Mass.), Claire Boncek (Hamden, Conn.), and Meagan Leuhollier (Colchester, Vt.) sweep the final weekly honors of the 2021 season. The Gulls downed Western New England, 5-1, on Thursday evening before edging the University of New England (UNE), 1-0, in double overtime to secure the team's third straight title.

The Gulls downed Western New England, 5-1, on Thursday evening before edging the University of New England (UNE), 1-0, in double overtime to secure the team's third straight title.
Hogan had a great performance during Endicott's 2021 CCC Field Hockey Tournament Championship run with the highlight being her championship-clinching score in Saturday's (Nov. 6) title match. She scored midway through the second overtime period, marking the only goal in the 1-0 victory. Hogan also played a hand in securing the Gulls' spot in the tournament final as she scored a goal and dished out two assists in the CCC Semifinal against No. 3 seed Western New England. Endicott won that game 5-1. Overall, Hogan has two goals and two assists during the tournament.
The Endicott defense surrendered just a single goal in its 2021 CCC Field Hockey Tournament Championship run. A lot of that was thanks in part to Boncek. Her defensive play was even recognized on the scoresheet in Saturday's CCC Championship game as she recorded a crucial defensive save in the third period of the 1-0 double-overtime victory. Her stop preserved the shutout creating the opportunity for Endicott to come home with the trophy. Boncek also scored a goal and an assist in the Gulls' 5-1 CCC Semifinal victory over No. 3 seed Western New England.
Lehouiller was an essential piece of the Endicott backline that earned a shutout in the 2021 CCC Championship match on Saturday (Nov. 6). Lehouiller dominated the flow of the game and helped her teammates deny point-blank opportunities for the University of New England. Lehouiller also helped Endicott hold No. 3 seed Western New England to a single goal in the CCC Semifinal.

The Endicott field hockey team (13-6) travels to Vassar for the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday, November 10 with a TBA start time at the Prentiss Sports Complex.
