CNE CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 1 Endicott Hosts No.2 Roger Williams In Championship Bout (11/8, 1 PM)
BEVERLY, Mass. — The top-seeded Endicott field hockey team (19-1) welcomes second-seeded Roger Williams (15-5) to campus on Saturday, November 8, for the Conference of New England (CNE) Championship game at 1 PM. Here's a preview of Saturday's title bout on North Field.
FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW
- The Gulls hold a 19-2 advantage in the all-time series. Earlier this season, Endicott defeated Roger Williams, 2-1, at home with Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.) scoring the game-winning goal in the third quarter.
- Saturday's game will be the second all-time meeting between the two teams in the conference championship game, with the first coming in 2023 when the Gulls bested the Hawks 2-1.
- Roger Williams is led offensively by Chelsea King (Albany, N.Y.). In 20 games this season, the senior has scored 28 goals and has 10 assists for 66 points, including back-to-back games with hat-tricks. Her goal and point totals both lead the conference.
- For the Blue and Green, forwards Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.), Hicks, and Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) all have over 100 career points and rank atop or inside the top 10 in many statistical career records.
- In goal for Endicott, Faith Minickene (Madison, Conn.) currently leads all Division III in Save Percentage at 0.899 and is sixth in Goals Against Average at 0.67.

The winner of Saturday's championship contest will earn the CNE's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Field Hockey tournament.
The loser awaits the announcement of a potential at-large bid into the NCAA Tournament. The selection show takes place on Sunday, November 9 at 9 PM (EST) on NCAA.com.
