Professional Aspirations

Completed a 10-week Summer 2016 internship as the finance intern for the Vermont Country Store (Manchester, VT.) where he completed daily tasks that consisted of daily cash summaries to filing as well as bigger projects... The bigger projects included reconfiguring costs for foreign product as well as a bad debt project... Hoping to obtain another internship in the field of finance, particularly in banking or private equity

Joe on more about what he did during his internship:

"Over the span of ten weeks the group of interns, ten of us, were split into two groups and given a template to develop a final project to be presented to senior management. It was a great experience and opportunity. The internship ran from June 6th through August 12th, 40+ hours a week."

Clubs and Organizations

Competed with Lone Wolf Athletics, Northeast Shooters and Team Not Even Famous... Member of SAAC at Endicott... "You're With Us" program as a member of the Endicott men's basketball team

Community Service

At Endicott, the men's basketball team helped with the set up, break down and results table at a 10K road race in Gloucester, Mass... Part of the "You're With Us" program at Endicott as a member of the men's basketball team...Played dodgeball with local elementary school students... In high school, he served as a referee for Manchester Department of Parks and Recreation games for grades K-6 for the past three winters... Painted over 50 fire hydrants throughout his town in 2013... In 2012, he filled a playground with wood chips for a local elementary school... Also volunteered through his church by visiting the local senior home during holidays and celebrated with them

Joe on a community service project that meant a lot to him:

"I took part in a fundraiser for my sister who has had brain surgery twice. This single fundraiser raised over $100,000 which with given back to Boston Children's Hospital as well as a hospital in Arizona."

Fun Facts

His father, Dave Shehadi, played basketball at Bucknell University as well as professionally in Belfast, Ireland... His sister, Sarah Shehadi, played basketball and lacrosse each for one year at Bucknell University... Is double majoring in Finance and Business Management
