    MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — A monstrous second half propelled the Endicott men’s basketball team past the No. 24 nationally-ranked Middlebury College Panthers, 93-89, Sunday afternoon inside Pepin Gymnasium in non-conference action.

    MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — A monstrous second half propelled the Endicott men's basketball team past the No. 24 nationally-ranked Middlebury College Panthers, 93-89, Sunday afternoon inside Pepin Gymnasium in non-conference action.

    Trailing 48-36 at the half, the Gulls used a 25-3 run spanning 5:44 of the second stanza to build toward their largest lead of the contest (80-72) with 5:02 to play and held off the Panthers down the stretch to hand Middlebury its first loss of the season.

    BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

    • The Gulls scored a season-high 93 points and grabbed a season-high 40 rebounds.
    • Endicott is 1-1 against nationally-ranked opponents this season.
    • Senior guard Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) led four Gulls in double figures with a season-high 28 points.
    • Senior forward Daquan Sampson (Germantown, Md.) earned his first double-double of the year (19 points, game-best 14 rebounds).
    • Senior guard Max Motroni (West Warwick, R.I.) added 18 points and dished out a team-best six assists, while senior forward Chris Lipscomb (West Springfield, Mass.) tallied 14 points and had six rebounds to go with three assists.

    FOR THE FOES

    • 17 points was the Panthers' largest lead of the game of (55-38)with 18:22 remaining in the game.
    • Senior guard Matt St. Amour (Swanton, Vt.) led the Panthers as he tied his career-high with a game-high 33 points.
    • Junior guard Jack Daly (Eastchester, N.Y.) posted a career-best 22 points.
    • Junior forward Adisa Majors (New York, N.Y.) was also in double figures with 16 points, while sophomore guard/forward Zach Baines (Stamford, Conn.) chipped in with 12 points and a team-best seven rebounds.
    • Senior guard Jake Brown (Hawley, Pa.) handed out a game-high eight assists.

    • Endicott is 2-2 against Middlebury in the all-time series.
    • The Gulls won, 82-76, in the most recent meeting before today in Beverly, Mass. on 01/02/16.
