Gulls finished second at ECAC Tournament

Stow, Mass. – The Endicott men’s golf team shot four stokes better as a team on day two of the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament but the Gulls remained on the heels of the first place finisher. The Blue and Green finished in second place (620) behind eventual champion Elms College (618).
Day Two
Endicott had a day two score of 308 after shooting a 312 as a team on day one. Improving their scores from day one were top golfer \#Jackson Wyman\# (Falmouth, Maine) who carded a stunning even par on the day, \#Jack Caroll\# (West Hartford, Conn.) who turned in his best round as a collegiate golfer with a 77, and \#Nate Kelly\# (Scituate, Mass.) who improved by seven strokes to an 82.
Wyman finished tied for second overall with a two-day score of 149 (77-72) and \#Andrew LaRocque\# (Averill Park, N.Y.) tied for sixth place with a 153 (76-77).
The Blue and Green made a big statement by finishing ahead The Commonwealth Coast Conference opponent Nichols College by one stroke. Nichols had held a day one lead over all teams including a three stroke advantage over the Gulls.
Endicott will next compete in the UNE Invitational at Dunegrass Country Club in Old Orchard Beach, Maine on October 7 .

The Gulls (312) sit three strokes back as a team behind Nichols College (309) for first place after day one. Three of the team’s top five golfers finished in the top five overall.
Senior \#Andrew LaRocque\# (Averill Park, N.Y.) finished tied for third overall with a score of 76 on day one. Teammates \#Jackson Wyman\# (Falmouth, Maine) and \#DJ Bennett\# (Madison, Conn.) both had scores of 77 which was good for fifth overall.
The final two golfers for the Blue and Green, \#Jack Caroll\# (West Hartford, Conn.) and \#Nate Kelly\# (Scituate, Mass.) came in tied for 24th and 46th overall.
Day two will determine the winner of the ECAC Championship.
