Golf finishes second at TCCC Invitational

Worcester, Mass. - The Endicott golf team participated in The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) Invitational on Thursday as the defending champions and finished in second, five strokes behind first-place Nichols at Green Hill Golf Course. The Gulls carded a team score of 318 to finish four strokes ahead of the University of New England and Western New England College.
The teams battled extreme weather conditions including fog, wind, rain and hail throughout play, and sat through a 17 minute weather delay for a late-afternoon storm that rolled through the par-72, 6,483 yard course.
Three individuals positioned themselves in the top-10. \#Andrew LaRocque\# (Averill Park, N.Y.) continued his strong play of late, firing a 78 (39-39) to finish tied for third. The senior was Endicott’s top finisher for the third straight tournament.
Freshman \#Jack Carroll\# (West Hartford, Conn.) finished tied for 8th after shooting a 79 (40-39), his second lowest score of the season. The 8th place showing was the first top-10 of the season for Carroll.
Sophomore \#Jackson Wyman\# (Falmouth, Maine) finished third among Endicott golfers after carding an eight-over 80 on the day. Wyman has finished in the top-10 in every tournament this season.
\#DJ Bennett\# (Madison, Conn.) finished fourth on the team and tied for 14th overall with an 81 (41-40) while senior \#Dustin Lockard\# (Danville, N.H.) shot 84 to finish 23rd.
