No. 38 Men’s Golf Wins RWU Invitational
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The No. 38 Endicott men’s golf team took the top three spots on the leaderboard to win the two-day Roger Williams University (RWU) Invitational at the Aquidneck Club (par 71 — 6,335 yards).
PORTSMOUTH, R.I. — The No. 38 Endicott men's golf team took the top three spots on the leaderboard to win the two-day Roger Williams University (RWU) Invitational at the Aquidneck Club (par 71 — 6,335 yards).
Endicott carded a team score of 593 (+25, 293, 300) to rank 19 strokes ahead of Salem State (612, +44, 298, 314). The Gulls shot +9 on day one (Sunday) and +16 on day two (Monday).
Individually, Will Pierce (Melrose, Mass.) earned medalist honors shooting 142 (E, 68-74) through tough conditions on the course. Pierce's scorecard included eight birdies and 21 pars.
Brady Burke (Bedford, N.H.) finished second at +6 (148, 72-76), while Myles O'Quinn (Durham, N.H.) was third at +7 (149, 76-73).
Tyler Baker (Falmouth, Maine) and Connor LaCross (Upton, Mass.) rounded out the lineup in 11th (+14, 156, 79-77) and 25th (+20, 162, 77-85) place.
Endicott has now won three tournaments this season (Hamilton Invitational, NEIGA Championship).
