Men’s Golf Ranks Sixth At Bowdoin Invitational; O’Quinn Ties For Medalist Honors
BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Endicott men's golf team finished tied for sixth overall out of 17 teams at the Bowdoin Invitational over the weekend, hosted by Brunswick Golf Club (par 72 — 6,601 yards).
After ending day one in 13th with a score of 310, +22, the Gulls fought their way back to sixth by the end of day two and finished with a second round team score of 294, +6, improving by 16 strokes from the previous day, with an overall tournament total of 604, +28.
Myles O'Quinn (Durham, N.H.) continued his strong start to the season, finishing tied for medalist honors, shooting an impressive -2 (73-69, 142) across the two-day invitational.
The sophomore captured a day two round of -3 (69), which marked the top round of any golfer throughout the event. O'Quinn's back nine of his final round featured zero holes above par (six pars, three birdies).
Connor LaCross (Upton, Mass.) and Oliver Watson (New Paltz, N.Y.) each carved out a spot in the top-40 out of a field of 97 golfers with 28th (tied, 78-75, 153) and 34th (tied, 80-74, 154) place finishes. Watson tallied an efficient day two front nine score of -1 (36) to contribute to Endicott's resilient weekend effort.
Spencer White (Litchfield, Conn.) and Hadyn Kornusky (Topsfield, Mass.) filled out the rest of the lineup for the Blue and Green in 51st (tied, 81-76, 157) and 67th (tied, 79-82, 161).
BEYOND THE SCORECARD
- O'Quinn collected his first collegiate career individual first place finish.
- O'Quinn tied his personal best score at Brunswick Golf Club with his day two round of 69.
- The Gulls got the best of every Conference of New England (CNE) opponent in the tournament, which included Roger Williams (t-11th, 307-312, 619), Western New England (13th, 311-313, 624), and University of New England (17th, 325-324, 649).
- Endicott carded a total of 23 birdies across the two-day event.
- The Blue and Green tied Williams College for the top second round team score of +6 (294).

Endicott will compete in the CNE championship from October 4-5 at Tumble Brook Country Club, hosted by the University of Hartford in Bloomfield, Conn.
