HARRISVILLE, R.I. – The No. 12 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Nichols, 3-2, on Saturday night in conference action at Levy Rink.
Endicott scored all three of its goals 2:17 apart in the second period (10:08, 11:30, 12:25) and then held on for the eventual victory.
The Gulls received tallies from Ethan Bastien (Natick, Mass.), Noah Strawn (Wareham, Mass.), and Derek Contessa (Freehold, N.J.) during their three-goal second period.
Meanwhile, in goal, Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) stopped a game-high 35 shots to improve to 10-3-1 on the season (44-15-3 career).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- Endicott is 13-4-0 all-time against Nichols.
- The Gulls extended their winning streak over the Bison to 10 straight games.
- Bastien potted his first collegiate goal (seventh career game).
- Andrew Kurapov (Corvallis, Ore.) registered his second career multi-assist game with two helpers tonight, while Connor Beatty (Concord, N.H.) notched his first.
- Endicott improved to 6-2-0 on the road this season.
