Beatty, O’Brien Earn CCC Weekly Honors
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott student-athletes Connor Beatty (Concord, N.H.) and Conor O’Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) have received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men’s ice hockey weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today.
BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott student-athletes Connor Beatty (Concord, N.H.) and Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) have received Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) men's ice hockey weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Beatty was named both the CCC Player and Rookie of the Week, respectively, while O'Brien earned CCC Goaltender of the Week accolades for their efforts in the Gulls' 3-0-0 showing last week (1/10-16).
Beatty paced Endicott offensively with four points on the week. Beatty began the week with a goal in a 6-1 non-conference victory over Tufts and followed that up with another score in a conference contest against Nichols. Beatty wrapped up the week with two assists in a 3-2 win against the Bison. Beatty also finished the week with a plus-4 rating.
This is Beatty's second career CCC Player and Rookie of the Week awards (12/13/2021).
As for O'Brien, the senior netminder earned three victories in goal last week for Endicott. O'Brien made 39 saves in a 6-1 win over Tufts to open the week before helping the Gulls sweep Nichols in conference play. O'Brien made 33 and 35 saves, respectively, in each end of the home-and-home series against the Bison.
This is O'Brien's 11th career CCC Goaltender of the Week award.
