    • O’Brien Receives CCM/AHCA All-America & All-USCHO Honors

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior goaltender Conor O’Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) has earned postseason honors from the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) and USCHO.com. O’Brien was named to the CCM/AHCA All-America East First Team last week (3/24) and also claimed a spot on the All-USCHO First Team earlier today.

    BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott senior goaltender Conor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) has earned postseason honors from the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) and USCHO.com. O'Brien was named to the CCM/AHCA All-America East First Team last week (3/24) and also claimed a spot on the All-USCHO First Team earlier today.

    O'Brien is now a two-time CCM/AHCA All-America (second team, 2019-20) and All-USCHO selection (third team, 2019-20).

    Additionally, O'Brien is the second student-athlete in program history to garner multiple CCM/AHCA All-America and All-USCHO selections, joining Logan Day (Seminole, Fla.) on the list.

    As a program, Endicott has produced three CCM/AHCA All-Americans and All-USCHO selections, totaling five honors from each organization, respectively.

    O'Brien is the only goaltender represented on the list, while Day (defenseman) and Tommy Besinger '19 (Milton, Mass.), forward, represent the other positions on the ice.

    In 26 games played this season, O'Brien posted a 19-6-1 record, 1.41 goals against average (GAA), a .949 save percentage (665 saves total), and four shutouts.

    O'Brien currently ranks No. 1 in save percentage, No. 2 in GAA, and No. 15 in winning percentage (.750) among his NCAA Division III peers.

    For his efforts this season, O'Brien also was named a CCM/AHCA Division II/III Player of the Year finalist, the co-winner of the Joe Concannon Award (best American-born NCAA DII/III college hockey student-athlete in New England), and the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Player of the Year and Goaltender of the Year, respectively.

    O'Brien is the first student-athlete in program history to win the Joe Concannon Award and the first goaltender in CCC men's ice hockey history to earn Player of the Year honors.

    YEAR IN REVIEW

    Endicott posted a 20-7-1 overall record and a 15-5-1 conference mark before falling to UNE in the conference championship. The Gulls also concluded the year ranked No. 13 in the final USCHO.com Poll.

    Since the program was elevated to NCAA Division III varsity status in 2015-16, Endicott has compiled 15 or more wins in every full season of play and 20 or more victories in three seasons (2016-17, 2019-20, 2021-22).
