Gulls Defeat RWU In CCC Action
The Endicott College men's lacrosse team continued their winning ways in the Commonwealth Coast Conference by surpassing Roger Williams in a 7-4 victory Saturday. The game was a re-match of the 2004 CCC Championship game which Endicott won. The Gulls were paced by senior captain Burt Fahy (Needham, MA). Fahy netted his first of three goals at 11:29 in the first quarter. Fahy finished the day with two assists to go along with his 3 goals.
Sophomore attackman Josh Gilbert (Simsbury,CT) scored two goals while senior Sam Chidester (Eliot, ME) and senior captain Marc MacMillan (Weymouth, MA) each tallied one goal apiece.
The Endicott defense was led by senior goalie Ryan Walsh (Weymouth, MA) who finished the day with 20 saves. Many of Walsh's saves where point blank on the crease. In front of Walsh was a spectacular close defensive unit: senior captain Josh Maciorowski (Guliford,CT), juniors Ryan Walsh (Billerica, MA), Mike Clifford (Wilbraham, MA) and sophomores Patrick Gaffney (Worcester, MA) and Rick Hancock (Wading River,NY) led the way in Endicott's first CCC win of the season.
The Gulls are currently 3-1 overall and 1-0 in CCC play. The Gulls will face \#16 Amherst College next in Amherst, MA March 23,2005.
