Gulls Soar Over Roger Williams 15-7

The Gulls advance to the CCC Championship while defeating the Roger Williams University Hawks 15-7 in the semi-finals at Endicott College. The Gulls jumped out quick on the Hawks going into the halftime leading 8-0. Senior Captain Burt Fahy (Needham, MA) and Freshman Josh Gilbert led the scoring with five goals apiece while Fahy added three assists and Gilbert dished out two others. Junior Kevin Lally (Derry, NH) tallied six assists and paced the Gulls offense. The scoring in the second half continued as Senior Sam Chidester (Eliot, ME) netted two of his three goals and two assists in the second half of action. Senior Captain Marc MacMillan (Weymouth, MA) and Junior Parker Sowles (Cumberland, ME) each added a goals for the home team Gulls. Sophomore Alex Howe (Darien, CT) would contribute by assisting on Sowles goal. Junior Goalie Ryan Walsh (Weymouth, MA) was once again stellar between the pipes for Endicott making 22 saves. The Gulls will face the winner of the New England College vs Gordon College game on Saturday April 30th at Endicott College.
