Men's Lacrosse Picks Up Three CNE Weekly Awards
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's lacrosse student-athletes Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.), Nick DiSalve (Narragansett, R.I.), and Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) have been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Specialist, Defensive, and Offensive Players of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's lacrosse student-athletes Thomas Barker (Needham, Mass.), Nick DiSalvo (Narragansett, R.I.), and Cam Fernandez (Mendham, N.J.) have been named the Conference of New England (CNE) Specialist, Defensive, and Offensive Players of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
THOMAS BARKER
Barker went 72% at the center "X" this week for Endicott in a 2-1 week going 44-71. The senior added a team-high 26 ground balls as well.
In the Gulls' 16-11 win over MIT, the Needham, Mass. native went 22-30 facing off with 16 ground balls. Barker then went 13-24 in an 11-9 victory versus Springfield.
He ended the week going 9-17 in the setback against Colby with six ground balls and an assist.
This is his 16th career Specialist of the Week award and second this season.
NICK DISALVO
He started the week by causing five turnovers and collecting five ground balls in Wednesday's victory over MIT before matching both efforts in Friday night's win over Springfield.
Then followed up against Colby with two more caused turnovers and three ground balls.
DiSalvo was part of a clearing unit for Endicott that went 73-82 over the three games.
This is DiSalvo's second career Defensive Player of the Week award (4/1/24).
CAM FERNANDEZ
Fernandez headlined Endicott's offense as he finished with 11 points during a 2-1 week, recording eight goals and three assists. The senior added 11 ground balls and a caused turnover as well.
In a home win over MIT, Fernandez tied his career high for goals (5), assists (3), and points in a game (8). Also scooped up six ground balls.
Followed up against Springfield and Colby with one and two goals respectively. Added four ground balls and a caused turnover versus the Mules.
This is Fernandez's second career Offensive Player of the Week award (4/8/24).
